I currently have a 2015 Civic that I'm thinking of trading in for a 2018 HRV. The civic was great as a commuter car, but it just isn't big enough now that I have a toddler in a car seat. Hi there! I currently own an 07 Honda Civic, 2.2 TDCI EX, around 150bhp, it's a lovely car but i'm looking to upgrade soonish for that newer car feel (it's exciting!) I'm wondering which car to upgrade to next. My civic fills up for about £60 and will do around 50mpg, so my ideal next car I would love to have around the same/ better efficiency, around the same/ slightly more horsepower, 5 seater, 5 doors, Bluetooth etc. I'm on a budget of about 5k (will buy car second hand) so I'm not expecting anything mindblowing or anything from the last 4 or so years. I was looking into fiestas or focuses but the ones I can afford kind of seem a downgrade to me in terms of performance and appearance (not looking at ST's or RS's purely for low fuel efficiency in comparison). I have a 2006 Honda Civic. There was a tiny crack in the windshield. Recently it got bigger, I thought it had something to do with either the fact that it's cold and it's getting hit with hot air and cold air but I also noticed on that particular day I had used the wipers but I didn't really think it was the wipers. Since the crack was small enough we repaired it with the resin kit and I could no longer see the crack. It's rained since but I haven't driven in the rain until today. It was kinda sleeting/raining and I drove 5 mins down the street and saw a definite new crack but in the same spot (kinda under where the tip of the left blade would lies when down). Half way home the crack expanded towards the left. I'm going to have to replace it now but I want to know is it really the wipers that are causing this? I drive an 06' honda accord. That car has been in the family since my first day of kindergarten & will be mine when i graduate next june. AND, it only 86,000 miles so it's got A LOT of life left in it for me. I just can't bare with the loud road noise, as it would give me headaches. I never paid attention or realized until I thought I had a slow leak in my tire and a mechanic told me he can't take the tire off without the lug nut I was missing. He told me they were potentially in my trunk with my spare, in the center counsel or perhaps in my glove box. He recommended i go to the Honda dealership to get the lug nut so he could then check for the slow leak. It's been a few weeks since this but I'm super confused. Why are all four tires missing one lug nut? My car is driving around normally. Does anyone understand why all four tires are missing one? How urgent is it to replace them? Last night I turned my car off, heard a weird beep, a red light on the left side of the dash flashed a few times (looks like a theft light although I've never seen it before) then my 4-ways flashed a couple times. This lasted for like 6 seconds then stopped so I proceeded to lock my car and went inside. I woke up this morning to all four of my windows down. I'm reading online that this has happened to people who have accidentally held their unlock button too long on their fob but I didn't do that last night and it doesn't explain the beeping and flashing lights before I even got out of my car. When shopping for used car, I noticed same make and model values dropped fast from brand new into few years old. Now I saw one 10 years old for 5999. 15 years old for 4999, 20 years old for 3999, 25 years old for 3499. Which would you choose? It's all same manufacturers make and model. I have a Honda HRV it;s 2 years old so under warranty for another year. It makes a grinding noise on acceleration. The service dept. Acknowledges the sound but they say as of now there's no fix. We hate the sound and it is not pleasent to drive. Can't do the lemon law over the miles- (18,000) and we own the car and can't sell it with the sound. I can literally shift it into the park position, but it's not acting like it is in park. Even when I have it "shifted" to park, I can't start the car. I can only start it in Neutral. When it is in the park position, the park light doesn't come on, and I can easily shift it down to reverse or neutral without having to press and hold the button. What could be wrong? Whenever I go past 50 mph the steering wheel feels as if it's sticking. Almost as if their were some gum or a weak magnet holding it in place. I think my car is possessed by steve Irwin or maybe another human who had been particularly gifted with animals. I myself have never been good with animals and usually a dog or cat will hiss or run from me. They never sniff my hand even though i've heard they can sniff your hand to like you.
