My check battery and oil light came on red. Then turned off?

When I was leaving out when I turn my car on the oil and Battery lights were on red and my car wouldn't move.

then I turned it off and restarted it and then the lights went away and then I turned it off and restarted again and the same thing the lights were gone. What does that mean?

I have a Honda Accord.

Is it for a reason or just honda wants our cars to last shortly? Added (1). Roughly how much could I get from selling my hybrid car with a dead hybrid battery?

I have a 2007 Honda Civic Hybrid with about 175k miles. I'm the second owner and there's nothing else wrong with it besides the dead hybrid battery. The battery is very expensive to replace and it's honestly just more of a financially smart decision to sell it rather than spending about 2,000 on a new battery. I just want to know what is a decent price to let it go for considering the hybrid battery is dead ultimately making it useless until replaced.
