I have a 2013 honda fit. Heres what's going on. When i'm driving forward, the left rear brake locks up SUPER easy. Doesn't matter if i'm using the foot brake or emergency brake it locks up too easy. I jacked up the car with the e brake off, and went to spin all the tires and with all brakes off, all tires spin freely, then when i pull the e brake, both rear tires won't move, just as they are supposed to. So i took of the rear left drum and the brake shoes have PLENTY of material left on them, and the brake drum is also in really good shape, same goes for all 4 brakes. I tried going in reverse and slamming on the brakes, which was supposed to adjust them or whatever, that didn't work, i tried pulling the e brake a few times while stopped and while rolling, that didn't work, brake fluid is clean and full. I know temperature change affects tire pressure. Where I live, the temperature dropped suddenly from around -5C to -20C and been around -20C for several days. Likewise, the tire pressure light also turned on. The problem is, I went to a gas stations to inflate the tires, but none of their pressure gauges were working. The gauge reading the measurements was stuck inside with a lot of force and wouldn t pop out like it normally does to give a pressure reading. I then went to another gas station, and then another, and another, yet exact same problem with every inflator. Does the inflator gauge malfunction in such cold temperatures or is it just a big coincidence that none of them were working? Also, since I see no other reasonable option of fixing this issue, is it okay if I continue to drive with low pressure, temporarily (a few weeks)? I have an 02 Honda Passport AKA Isuzu Rodeo My car was sold under many different names such as Honda Passport, Isuzu Rodeo, Opel Frontera B, those are just some examples but it was sold under more names than just that. I dropped something into the engine bay and can hear it landed onto the bottom. On the bottom of the car is a metal sheet. I can't squeeze under my car, but I can feel there are screws down there. Do you think I can unscrew one side of the metal sheet (the side closest to the front bumper), bend open the metal sheet slightly, and poke a stick into it to retrieve what I dropped? I just got a brand new car battery about a month and a half ago. Duralast Gold for 2007 Honda Accord, 2.4L (4 cylinder). I also have 250W amp with subwoofers (MTX Terminator set). They never gave my battery a problem this early on. The amp is brand new as well. I realized yesterday that my car now hesitates to crank. (I will be getting checked when they open) I know it's cold and it may take a little extra to crank but not as long as it's taking. My spark plugs are also new. Maybe about only a year old. Another question, if my audio system is draining the battery would that just require it to be charged and not completely replaced? I need all mechanic opinions thanks. I got into a car accident on November 18 in Boston MA and the guy claimed to his insurance company that it was his fault so I'm not at fault. And because of this, I didn't call the cops or a police report or anything like that. He totalled my 2008 Honda Civic LX sedan 4D with 179,000 miles and it was worth $4,881 according to Kelly Blue Book, and the insurance company offered me $4,813.13. I had some back pain right after getting hit but that has since subsided. I don't have very much to move. 10 boxes at 22x22x22 65lbs max, Honda Civic, and maybe a dresser. I'm currently deciding between Budget Truck Rental, a container thing like u-haul offers, and maybe even mailing the boxes with UPS. Budget Truck Rental would cost <$1,500. I would have to get a 16 truck to use the dolly and that is a lot more room than I need. Also, gas could cost over $700. A container would take a while to ship and has a greater possibility for damage. Could cost about $1,491. Mailing my stuff would cost somewhere around $1100 (is UPS freight an option?). I bought an old 96 Honda Civic from a friend and it's been sitting for while. It's been started every month or two. He told me it runs and drives but overheats and he can't find out why.
