2001 civic ECU swap. Do numbers have to be exact?

ECU in my 2001 civic blew because the alternator bolt wasn't completely tightened after timing belt job. Old ECU numbers is 37820-PLR-C53 (2001 civic ex 2 door Vtec). Junkyard ECU 37820-PLR-C56 (2002 civic ex 2 door Vtec)

I have been unable to find an exact match. Looking at forums some have had success with some slight differences in numbers others say exact. Will the junkyard ECU work in my car after the immobilizer has been programmed by Honda?
