Honda Civic with problems

Worst first car buying experience ever. Didn't get it checked or anything first.

97 Honda Civic EX
I've now found out it has a blown head gasket and the transmission doesn't automatically shift. It works if i drive as manual but obviously means it needs replacing. I bought for $900 and can't fix both problems cause I've only got $500 to spend. What should i do?
Fix head gasket and try to sell? Is there places that scrap for more than $200? Any advice is appreciated

Do you think CVT transmission is bad?

What's the deal with honda not being able to use coolants with silicates if it makes the coolant better and safer for the engine. Reason?

Is it for a reason or just honda wants our cars to last shortly? Added (1). Any more answers i was checking out that video then checked and notice newer cars don't use the coolant anymore so what's the deal we have to go back to inferior coolant i've read it eats the seals in cars? I'm 16 and looking to get a drivers license. I have good grades in school. I'm looking to lease a 2017 Honda Civic LX. I'm probably gonna be under my parents on their insurance policy. Roughly how much could I get from selling my hybrid car with a dead hybrid battery?

I have a 2007 Honda Civic Hybrid with about 175k miles. I'm the second owner and there's nothing else wrong with it besides the dead hybrid battery. The battery is very expensive to replace and it's honestly just more of a financially smart decision to sell it rather than spending about 2,000 on a new battery. I just want to know what is a decent price to let it go for considering the hybrid battery is dead ultimately making it useless until replaced.
