Honda Accord Sport 2.0 L Automatic VS Honda Civic SI Coupe?

Hello guys. I have a quick question about a car. I'm more of a sport type of guy, and obviously the SI takes the crown, BUT, when my dad took it out for a test drive ( I'm not good enough to drive stick on the road) he said the acceleration was underwhelming. I don't understand where he gets this from because reviews on the car say otherwise. I really love the car. And the accord would be the 2nd option. What are your opinions?

What's the deal with honda not being able to use coolants with silicates if it makes the coolant better and safer for the engine. Reason?

Is it for a reason or just honda wants our cars to last shortly? Added (1). Roughly how much could I get from selling my hybrid car with a dead hybrid battery?

I have a 2007 Honda Civic Hybrid with about 175k miles. I'm the second owner and there's nothing else wrong with it besides the dead hybrid battery. The battery is very expensive to replace and it's honestly just more of a financially smart decision to sell it rather than spending about 2,000 on a new battery. I just want to know what is a decent price to let it go for considering the hybrid battery is dead ultimately making it useless until replaced.
