Are toyota corollas fun to drive or no?

so i want cheap car under $5,000. And i heard toyota corollas are fairly reliable and drive like honda civics. Is that true?

i kinda like how the 1998-2002 model looks and i found one for $3200 with 86k miles and year 2002.
