One day a couple of stupid kids stole it. They walked it about 2 blocks away when someone confronted them about it being stole. They dropped it on its die and it sat for 2 days before it was eventually picked up by a tow truck and towed away. Now I have it back and for some reason it won't start. It had sat in my garage for over a year now. So, recently I have started trying to figure out what is wrong. I have figured out that it does not spark. I eventually made a small amount of progress, finding that the kill switch was indeed malfunctioning. After taking it apart, I found the inside parts had melted.( I assume from the little kids leaving it powered on while it sat on its side for two days) Anyway. I have fixed the switch and I have power now going to the spark coil. When the kill switch is on, I have 6 volts Going to the coil. So I accidentally took my 2012 Honda Civic on a off roading adventure the other day (don't ask, long story lol) Drove through a shallow body of water about 1/2 foot deep and went up and down a moderately steep gravel road with lots of rocks for about a quarter of a mile or so. I didn't floor it or drive through any crazy rough terrain like over insanely huge rocks or potholes or anything, I drove as steady and conscientious as possible and got back on to the main road as soon as I could. In all it was a 15 minute off-road detour. My front license plate is bent a little from driving with low suspension and my car def needs a car wash but otherwise my car has been driving on the freeway for almost 100 miles since then smoothly with no issues. Given the fact that I was driving fairly conservatively and for a comparatively short period of time I'm pretty sure the car is fine. But just thought I'd ask for a second opinion. I'm not good with vehicles. I'm experiencing with oil leek. It's not too bad during the winter months, but it's goes through a quort or two during warmer months. I don't see any residue near manifold area or the oil pan. If there any other places? Any recommended would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
