My 2001 Honda Civic stopped running?

I was having trouble getting up hills and past 20 mph and then on the highway it stopped accelerating. I also was having trouble getting it into 2nd gear, it would grind hard.

So I got it towed to the shop and they can't even inspect it because it won't drive at all. They want me to pay for a new clutch, but I have to wonder if I'll be paying for a new transmission or engine next. Can anyone help me out here?

Cars: What should I do?

My boyfriend is a mechanic and also buys and flips cars. A week ago, I bought a car that he thought would be better for me than my Honda. So, I bought it but I haven't received the title. We went to the auction and got it. He told me it will cost $100 for the title. No problem but he keeps saying that he will give me the paperwork to register the car. But recently, he involuntarily thought it was okay to take us and his friends on a road trip in my car without telling me. He uses my car daily while he has multiple cars of his own. Car Squeal when idoling?

Performance clutch vs OEM? Pros and cons please? - 1

So the time came for me to replace the clutch in my 1995 honda civic I brought it to a guy my family knows who does our cars for a low price and doesn't cut corners but he asked if I wanted a performance clutch I asked if they're more durable than oem and he saI'd yes so I said sure why not. I heard it makes the clutch pedal a little harder to press down, but I think I can handle it. I rarely drive in stop and go traffic so hopefully its not too bad.
