My 2004 honda civic vp coupe automatic I just got from a reputable subrau dealership is having mpg issues?

I don't gun it or rev it, I'm no ricer. It should get 29 City at least but it seems to get 15. That is not normal what is going on

Manual vs automatic?

I've driven both. I still prefer automatic. Don't get me wrong manual is fun to drive but it's not as fast or not very practical anymore. What's your opinion on both? If you could choose one over the other which would you choose. I have a manual but it's way harder work for little return. I just don't see it. I'm thinking of getting an automatic.
