For mechanics that work on Honda's, I need help figuring out what's wrong with my car?

Me and my dad recently bought a new engine for my 03' Accord and we installed the new engine and the car starts up but after a couple minutes of letting it run the engine will start revving and we can't figure out why. Also the shifter is showing the cars transmission is stuck in drive and has a flashing green light. Any automotive mechanics or technicians know why this is happening and how can I fix it.

What's the deal with honda not being able to use coolants with silicates if it makes the coolant better and safer for the engine. Reason?

Is it for a reason or just honda wants our cars to last shortly? Added (1). Roughly how much could I get from selling my hybrid car with a dead hybrid battery?

I have a 2007 Honda Civic Hybrid with about 175k miles. I'm the second owner and there's nothing else wrong with it besides the dead hybrid battery. The battery is very expensive to replace and it's honestly just more of a financially smart decision to sell it rather than spending about 2,000 on a new battery. I just want to know what is a decent price to let it go for considering the hybrid battery is dead ultimately making it useless until replaced.
