Overheating Concerns?

I have an 1996 Honda CBR600F3. After riding for a while and sitting Idled in traffic the temperature gauge rises to slowly to the mid hot point. However after I began riding again and shifting through the gears at high speeds. The temperature gauge begins to slowly lower back down to cool. But while sitting idled the bike seems to start overheating and the fans kicks on every time. Any suggestions as to why it seems to start overheating while sitting Idled. Thanks in advance.

What's the deal with honda not being able to use coolants with silicates if it makes the coolant better and safer for the engine. Reason?

Is it for a reason or just honda wants our cars to last shortly? Added (1). Any more answers i was checking out that video then checked and notice newer cars don't use the coolant anymore so what's the deal we have to go back to inferior coolant i've read it eats the seals in cars? Roughly how much could I get from selling my hybrid car with a dead hybrid battery?

I have a 2007 Honda Civic Hybrid with about 175k miles. I'm the second owner and there's nothing else wrong with it besides the dead hybrid battery. The battery is very expensive to replace and it's honestly just more of a financially smart decision to sell it rather than spending about 2,000 on a new battery. I just want to know what is a decent price to let it go for considering the hybrid battery is dead ultimately making it useless until replaced.
