Motorcycle acting weird

My Honda CM 450 runs different depending on my riding position. With my feet on the rear pegs, it starts to bog at 55. It doesn't feel like drag; it feels like powerplant. When I move my feet to the highway pegs, ZOOM! Right as rain. I've checked repeatedly and I'm not riding the brake. I also can't see how the rear pegs interfere with anything. Any thoughts?
