Did i over rev my engine?

Its a 2012 honda fit, i was trying to get on the freeway from a dead stop, with no shoulder in about 30 feet, so i had to use the limited shoulder to get speed up, so i put my car in "sport" mode, and floored it from a dead stop, i watched the rpm guage go from a little under 1, to 5 in a few secs, but then i was at 40 with no one behind me so i let off the gas a little but the car was still at about 5,500 rpms, then i saw a car switch from the middle to slow lane going the speed limit so i needed to go faster so i gave it about 3/4 throttle and the rpm guage went like 500 rpms into the red zone, luckly i saw and let off the gas, so it was only there for about a second. Did this damage it? There are no strange noises or anything

So I have a 2003 Honda Element awd 4 speed automatic. My car has been serviced and has been mechanically inspected. I just changed the oil 2 months ago. I mean my state the speed limit is typically 55 mph but I know that in most of the western states, the speed limit is around 70(I believe) but in some western states I've heard that on some highways, drivers cruise really fast as much as 80-100 mph. Trying to upgrade my car s sound system but don't know where to start?

I have a 2015 Honda Accord Base and I want to upgrade my sound system but I have no idea where to begin, I don't even know if I want/need an amp, sub, or just new speakers. I don't want anything to crazy expensive, is it possible to upgrade my sound for less than $500? Maybe even $400? Any kind of information or advice would help! Thanks!
